Our Frankincense, Gold and Myrrh Tallow Balm is a deeply nourishing body and face moisturizer for cracked, dry and aging skin. The Holy Trinity - Frankincense, Gold and Myrrh - are the gifts that were offered to Jesus and make the perfect holiday gift! These oils have been used for thousands of years and were regarded as sacred and rare. We use organic frankincense, myrrh and golden Jojoba oil to make the perfect balm for thirsty skin. Aromatically, it can be used for prayer, mediation and spiritual well being.
Many creams and lotions on the market are made with ingredients that sit on the surface of the skin, only to temporarily hydrate while actually depleting the skin of it's natural moisture and creating imbalances that can lead to dependency. Our balms work differently. We use 100% grass-fed, grass-finished Canadian beef tallow which is very similar to our skin's biology. Our balms absorb fully and deeply, leaving your skin hydrated, nourished and balanced. Zero water, fillers, chemicals or synthetics are used in our balms.
Our tallow is pesticide free, GMO free, and chemical free.

Organic grass-fed, grass-finished beef tallow is the key ingredient of this luxurious cream. Beef tallow contains fat-soluble vitamins that revitalize the skin.
Canadian beef tallow skincare properties:
Golden jojoba oil: Acts as a humectant and emollient that pulls in moisture and locks it into the skin barrier without feeling greasy.
Frankincense: Can soothe irritation, calm redness, even out skin tone, and minimize the appearance of fine lines. Aromatherapy: Inhaling frankincense can promote relaxation, ease stress, and has been shown in trials to reduce anxiety during medical procedures or pain perception during labor.
Myrrh: Traditional and cosmetic uses include fading the appearance of spots, minor scars, and evening out complexion. Myrrh promotes complete re-epithelialization and accelerates the healing of minor cuts, scrapes, and abrasions by stimulating local blood circulation and immune response.
We render our own tallow. This is the key to our magic formula. Our tallow is rendered by us, by hand and triple filtered to remove impurities and keep the natural odour of the fat to a minimum. We use grass-fed, grass-finished suet from Ontario cattle. The process of just rendering the suet takes over 5 hours.
We hand blend our tallow to perfection and jar it ourselves.
Why Tallow Instead of Plant Based Products?
Tallow is a whole food skin product and it is edible (although our products are for external use only). It is a healthy fat high in several fatty acids, can be used as a healthy fat to cook food and has a high heat point. Your skin recognizes this fat and utilizes it immediately on a cellular level. While we love plants, we believe plant based skincare is simply not sufficient. Many plant based products are highly processed and denatured. Plant-based products can sit on the skin unabsorbed, can dry out the skin, can lead to imbalances or simply do nothing for the skin. Plant bases are usually much cheaper to use which is a big reason why they are ubiquitous amongst skincare.
How to use: Apply a small amount of balm to the skin, including the face or anywhere on the body. Gently rub the cream into the skin until fully absorbed. Reapply as needed. A little goes a long way. This product can be used as an oil cleansing method (OCM) – a system for cleaning pores and purifying the skin.

Before using any new cosmetic product, do a patch test: apply a small amount of the product to the skin and leave it on to see how your body responds.

It works pretty well. My wife and I were surprised with how well it works because we have tried many other deodorants in the natural arena that didn't work so well. I love the fact that it is made from tallow and that what I am applying under my armpit is natural and not harmful for my body.

I love this cream! My baby was 4 months old with baby rash on one side of his cheeks. Nothing seemed to calm it down and whatever I used only made it worse until I tried the emu tallow balm. It only took one day of using it morning and night to see a huge difference! You notice a drastic change, and continuous use of it eventually helped the rash go away!!
