Our Manuka Balm is a deeply restorative body and face moisturizer. It is technically unscented but has a faint smell of sweet honey. It is unadulterated and pure – just like your skin.

Many creams and lotions on the market are made with ingredients that sit on the surface of the skin, only to temporarily hydrate while actually depleting the skin of it's natural moisture and creating imbalances that can lead to dependency. Our balms work differently. We use 100% grass fed Canadian beef tallow which is very similar to our skin's biology. Our balms absorb fully and deeply, leaving your skin hydrated, nourished and balanced. Zero water, fillers, chemicals or synthetics are used in our balms.

Ingredients

Organic grass-fed/finished beef tallow is the key ingredient of this luxurious cream. Beef tallow contains fat-soluble vitamins that revitalize the skin. 

Canadian beef tallow skincare properties:

• Contains naturally occurring retinol (bioavailable vitamin A).
• High in nourishing fatty acids such as Conjugated Linoleic Acid (CLA), which has anti-inflammatory properties, Arachidonic Acid (AA), Oleic Acid, Palmitic Acid, Alpha Linolenic Acid (ALA), and Stearic Acid.
• Stearic acid helps the skin stay flexible and youthful.
• High in fat-soluble vitamins A, B, D, E, K, omegas, and fatty acids, all of which are highly bioabsorbable.
• Contains palmitoleic acid, which has antimicrobial properties.

Raw New Zealand Manuka Honey: Renowned for its antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory properties, manuka honey enhances skin health and appearance. Contains a high MGO for powerful antibacterial activity.

Cold-pressed castor oil: a moisturizing and non-comedogenic oil (absorbs into the skin without blocking pores) that has been used in natural cosmetics for thousands of years, dating back to ancient Egypt. 

What Makes Our Balm Stand Out

We source some of the best raw manuka in the world. Manuka honey is medicinal and potent.

Our balms can boost collagen production, smooth out fine lines and correct imperfections.

Manuka balances skin PH and restores moisture. Our formula is made without any water or fillers.

We render our own tallow. This is the key to our magic formula. Our tallow is rendered by us, by hand and triple filtered to remove any impurities and odours. We use suet from Ontario cattle that is grass fed. The process of just rendering the suet takes over 5 hours.

We hand blend our tallow to perfection and jar it ourselves.

Why Tallow Instead of Plant Based Products?

Tallow is a whole food skin product and it is edible (although our products are for external use only). It is a healthy fat high in several fatty acids, can be used as a healthy fat to cook food and has a high heat point. Your skin recognizes this fat and utilizes it immediately on a cellular level. While we love plants, we believe plant based skincare is simply not sufficient. Many plant based products are highly processed and denatured. Plant-based products can sit on the skin unabsorbed, can dry out the skin, can lead to imbalances or simply do nothing for the skin. Plant bases are usually much cheaper to use which is a big reason why they are ubiquitous amongst skincare.

How to use: Apply a small amount of balm to the skin, including the face or anywhere on the body. Gently rub the cream into the skin until fully absorbed. Reapply as needed. A little goes a long way. This product can be used as an oil cleansing method (OCM) – a system for cleaning pores and purifying the skin.

Before using any new cosmetic product, do a patch test: apply a small amount of the  product to the skin and leave it on to see how your body responds.
