What makes our tallow stand out from the rest?

We render and filter our own suet from farmers we know.

Unlike other companies that buy tallow that has already been processed from unknown sources, we purchase the raw material (suet) and render it ourselves. This ensures quality control and eliminates any strong odour that can occur with conventional, off-the-shelf beef tallow.

The rendering process is extensive. Our last big render took our team of three 16 hours of manual labour. We use a slow (wet) rendering method and filter our tallow multiple times to remove impurities.

While this process is laborious, we think you'll agree that the resulting product is worth the extra time. Our tallow is derived from regeneratively raised, organic, grass-fed beef. It is pure, clean and natural. This way we can produce unscented tallow products without using fillers or fragrances to mask any beefy smell or impurities. The small amount of carrier oil we add makes the tallow more spreadable and user-friendly.

Our scented tallow balms use a small amount of premium essential oils to enhance the experience and complement the anti-aging properties that tallow already has.
