A Fun Photo Shoot for Our Blue Lotus Tallow Balm

Twins of the Ancient World: Tallow and Blue Lotus
To promote the launch of our new blue lotus tallow balm, we went out to a nearby park in the Toronto area, where we walked among the lilies. Ontario does not have blue lilies but we do have these lovely white lilies that were the (almost) perfect backdrop for a photo shoot.
It was a lot of fun to get into the mud to get next to these lilies, even if it meant having to get a bit dirty.

Lilies are renowned in many cultures, religions and philosophies, including Buddhism. The water lily symbolizes rebirth and spiritual enlightenment. There is an old Buddhist saying along the lines of "just as a lotus rises from the muddy, dirty waters but blooms in pristine beauty, a person can rise from the suffering, confusion and defilement of the world to attain enlightenment. " Another zen way of summing it up is "no mud, no lotus."
This idea rang true for us as we walked through this boggy terrain to get next to the lilies. Our feet got stuck in the mud and we had to remove our sandals and throw them ashore as they got caked on with mud and clay. It all made for a fun day.
Now that I've cleaned my feet from all the mud, I'll give them a little rub with some of this blue Lotus tallow balm to get them feeling fresh and cleaner than ever.
